Senior Timothy Roper (Pepperell, MA), in his 3^rd season of competition, is the starting left-back for the GMC men's soccer team.  His gritty determination and attitude towards the game has earned him the respect of his teammates and coaching staff.  An environmental studies major with a concentration in natural sciences, Tim carries a 3.7 GPA into his final year. 

Despite his rigorous schedule, Tim carves out time to work with the Watershed Alliance where he educates local middle and high school students about watershed quality.  During sessions with the students, Tim utilizes 3-D modeling followed by field work where water testing and vertebrate sampling are used to create a comprehensive assesment of watershed quality.  "It is challenging and rewarding to take my prior knowledge of the material and pass it along to youngsters.  I believe it is important subject matter for younger generations to learn at an early age as we continue to move towards environmental sustainability."
