Womens XC 10th

(September 12, 2009) - Cobleskill, NY - The Green Mountain College women's finished 10th out of 16 teams at the Steve A. Ward Invitational hosted by SUNY Cobleskill Saturday afternoon.
Rochester Institute of Technology took top honors tallying 26 points followed by Mohawk Valley Community College (89) and Utica College (106). Mohawk Valley Community College's Hannah Hoffman was the individual champion, finishing in 18:40.27.
Leading the way for GMC was junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) in 41st. She covered the 3.1 mile course in 22:01. Bridget Combes (Londonderry, NH) and Whitney Rose (Kalamazoo, MI) finished 57th and 58th, respectively, a mere 1 second apart at 22:53 and 22:54. Freshman Kelly Silin (York Beach, ME) ran well, claiming 64th in 23:22 with Taylor Conley (Yorktown, VA) rounding out GMC's top 5 in 74th.
The Eagles return to action Saturday September 19th at Bard College. Race-time is set for noon.
