(October 17, 2009) - Lyndon, St. - The GMC women's volleyball team cruised to a pair of 3-0 victories in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon over the host Hornets of Lyndon State and the Johnson State Badgers.  The Eagles run their record to 9-10 overal and 3-4 in conference play. 

In the second match of quad-match, Green Mountain beat Johnson State by scores of 25-10, 25-11, and 25-13.

Emma Brinley Buckley led the Eagles with 14 kills, five aces and three blocked shots while Jen McGuire contributed 11 assists and five aces. Melanie Rodriguez amassed eight digs for GMC and Olesea Cojohari had five aces.

Jessica Pafumi had two kills and one ace for the Badgers while Catlin Mackey had two aces and nine digs in the loss.

 In the final game of the night, Green Mountain defeated Lyndon by scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-19.

Brinley Buckley dominated the match with 19 kills, nine digs and two blocks. Rodriguez chipped in nine kills and six digs, and McGuire had 15 assists. Cojohari had a team-high six aces for the Eagles.

Brobst had a team-high 10 kills to go along with two aces and three blocked shots. Megan Fried collected five kills, four assists, and four digs. Riley closed out her final home game at LSC by tallying 14 assists and 15 digs. 

GMC squares off against Johnson St. on Thusrsday, October 22nd at Castelton in their final regular-season match.
