(October 14, 2009) - Cobleskill, NY - The host Fighting Tigers beat the Eagles for the 2^nd time this season 3-0.  Cobleskill improves to 8-8 on the season while GMC falls to 7-10.

The Fighting Tigers captured the opening set 25-23 followed by a decisive 25-16 win in the 2^nd set and a tight 28-26 victory in the 3^rd to decide the match. 

Cobleskill junior outside hitter Andrianna Lyons (Fly Creek, NY) contributed 11 kills to go with five digs and four service aces while sophomore middle hitter Natasha Mamrosh, (Dolgeville, NY) chipped in 10 kills and seven digs on the evening. Sophomore middle hitter

Melissa Tibbo (Granby, CT) was also important for Cobleskill with a career-high eight blocks to go with three service aces and Samantha Burkart (Cobleskill, NY) added 26 assists and seven digs on the night.

GMC senior Emma Buckley (Lakeville, CT) led the Eagles with 9 kills and 16 digs in the losing effort.

Next up, the Eagles head to NAC rival Lyndon St. Saturday, October 17^th for a pair of matches against the host Hornets and Johnson State.
