Four Eagle’s named to NAC 2nd Team
(November 5th, 2009) – Poultney, VT –Senior Katie Jablonski (West Rutland, VT), sophomores Erin Burch (Lebanon, CT), Karen Davidson (Seymour, CT), and Taylor Riso (Portland, OR) were named to the North Atlantic Conference women's soccer 2nd Team Wednesday afternoon.

GMC Women’s soccer brings home NAC honors
The women’s soccer program at Green Mountain College scored big when the North Atlantic Conference released it’s post-season awards. Senior’s Amanda Jeffers and Monique Couture, and Freshmen Taylor Riso earned selection to the conference’s first team, senior Karin Bellemare was chosen to the second team, and freshmen Karen Davidson earned honorable mention status.

GMC falls at Husson in NAC Semifinals
Husson advanced to the NAC Championship game with a 3-0 win over Green Mountain College. Husson will seek their 3rd straight title as they will face U. Maine Farmington on Saturday, November 8.

(Oct 29, 2008 Poultney, VT) - It was a cold and snowy day at Green Mountain College, where the temperature didn't break 36 degrees. Three goals were scored by three different freshman in the first half to secure the victory for the Eagles, in the first round of North Atlantic Conference action.

Oct 27, 2008 Monique Couture (Senior, Midfielder - Santa Barbara, CA) Couture scored the go-ahead goal and added an insurance goal, giving her two goals in Green Mountain's 3-2 victory over Lyndon State.

NAC Women's Soccer Championship Seeding Announced-GMC #4
Two-time defending champion Husson University, with an overall record of 13-4 including a 7-0 conference mark, will enter the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament as the top seed when tournament play begins this Wednesday, October 29. The Husson Eagles have earned a first round bye and will host a semifinal contest on Sunday, November 2.

(Oct 15, 2008 Poultney, VT) Sophomore forward, Jessica Tietgens (Stamford, VT) scored three goals and had a second half assist to boost the MCLA Trailblazers 5 to 3 past the Green Mountain College Eagles.

Green Mountain Wins Second Conference Game
(Oct 12, 2008 Castine, Maine) – Green Mountain College scored three times in the second half and got goals from three different players on their way to beating the Lady Mariners 3-0 in a North Atlantic Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon at Ritchie Field. The win improves the Eagles record to 7-6 overall and 3-2 in the NAC while MMA drops to 4-8-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the NAC.

(Oct 7, 2008 Nashua,NH) – Taylor Riso (Portland, Ore.) notched one goal and set up another leading the Green Mountain College women’s soccer team past host Daniel Webster College, 2-0 Tuesday in a matchup of regional Eagle programs at Eagle Field.

The Eagles (2-4, 1-0 in the NAC) unassisted game winning goal, came off of the foot of senior midfielder Monique Couture (Santa Barbara, CA) with less than fifteen minutes remaining in the contest

Riso-Couture Connect Twice for the Eagles First NAC Win
Johnson, VT- Freshman Taylor Riso (Portland, OR) scored three goals, earning her first hat trick for the Eagles. The first goal came twenty-three minutes into the first half, when she received a ball at midfield and dribbled past the Badgers defense and fired the ball past freshman goalkeeper, Elizabeth Wallace (Port Henry, NY).

Eagles Lose Season Opener to Colby-Sawyer College
Colby Sawyer scored 18 minutes into the first half, off of the head of Senior Forward Elise Kapp (Yarmouthport, MA) assisted by Junior Laura Sansoucie (Haverhill, MA). Kapp tallied another goal eight minutes later, when she capitalized off of a pass from Senior Midfielder Ashley Beaulieu (Manchester, NH). Green Mountain responded to the Chargers goals when Sophomore Forward Deirdre Bailey (Sterling, MA) put the ball past Colby Sawyer goalkeeper Christina Quirk (Milford, CT) off of a free kick from Freshman Midfielder Taylor Riso (Portland, OR).
