Cross Country Set to Host 3rd Annual Invitational Meet
(October 16, 2009) Poultney, VT The Green Mountain College men and womens cross country teams are set to host the 2nd Annual GMC Invitational Meet on Saturday, October 17th after 5 weeks on the road.
GMC 7th at Vermont Championship(October 3, 2009) Johnson, VT Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) once again lead the GMC womens cross-country team, posting a 36th place finish at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championship Saturday afternoon in Johnson, VT. Horvath covered the 5k course in 22:46, 4:03 behind individual champion Claire McLlvennie (Middlebury College). The Eagles captured 7th/8, 7 points behind Norwich University in 6th.
Eagles Race to 2nd(September 26, 2009) Farmington, ME Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) finished in the top 10 for the second time this season, leading Green Mountain College to a 2nd place finish at the University of Maine Farmington Saturday afternoon. Horvath covered the 5k course in 23:21, 15 seconds off her best time, but good enough for 8th place overall out of the 40 competitors.
Horvath Cracks Top 30, Eagles Finish 8th(September 19, 2009) Annondale-on-Hudson, NY Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) covered the 5k course in 23:06 to claim 29th place at the Bard College Womens Cross-Country Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finished 8th overall in the 14 team field.
