UMF and LSC Repeat at NAC XC Championship
(October 31st, 2009) – Poultney, VT – The Lyndon State College men and University of Maine Farmington women’s cross country teams captured their respective team crowns to repeat as 2009 North Atlantic Conference Champions. The Hornets grabbed 4 of the top 7 spots to edge Maine Maritime while the Beavers placed 6 runners in the top 12 to easily capture the title Saturday on the campus of Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT.

GMC Hosts NAC Cross Country Championship
(October 29, 2009) – Poultney, VT – Green Mountain College will host the North Atlantic Conference Championship cross country meet Saturday, October 31st. The men’s 8k race is set to begin at 11:00 am followed by the women’s 5k at 12:00 pm.

GMC Bounced From NAC Tourney
(October 27, 2009) - Farmington, ME - The #5 seed Green Mountain College women's soccer team fell 4-1 to #4 Me.-Farmington Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles end their season with a 6-9-1 mark while the Beavers earned a trip to Castleton to face the #1 seed Spartans in the semifinals Saturday, October 31st.

GMC 14th at RPI Invitational
(October 24, 2009) – Saratoga, NY – Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) ran a 21:34.34 (5k) Saturday afternoon to lead GMC at the RPI Invitational women’s cross-country meet. Horvath finished 86th out of 141 runners in the 14-team field pacing the Eagles to 14th.

Albany Pharmacy 1st, Horvath Captures Individual Title
(October 17, 2009) - Poultney, VT - The Albany College of Pharmacy women's cross-country team narrowly edged Green Mountain College to win the 3rd Annual GMC Invitational Saturday morning. ACP's team score of 36 was one better than GMC with 37. Eagle's junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) captured the individual title in a time of 22:00.6.

Cross Country Set to Host 3rd Annual Invitational Meet
(October 16, 2009) – Poultney, VT – The Green Mountain College men and women’s cross country teams are set to host the 2nd Annual GMC Invitational Meet on Saturday, October 17th after 5 weeks on the road.

GMC 7th at Vermont Championship
(October 3, 2009) – Johnson, VT – Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) once again lead the GMC women’s cross-country team, posting a 36th place finish at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championship Saturday afternoon in Johnson, VT. Horvath covered the 5k course in 22:46, 4:03 behind individual champion Claire McLlvennie (Middlebury College). The Eagles captured 7th/8, 7 points behind Norwich University in 6th.

Eagles Race to 2nd
(September 26, 2009) – Farmington, ME – Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) finished in the top 10 for the second time this season, leading Green Mountain College to a 2nd place finish at the University of Maine Farmington Saturday afternoon. Horvath covered the 5k course in 23:21, 15 seconds off her best time, but good enough for 8th place overall out of the 40 competitors.

Horvath Cracks Top 30, Eagles Finish 8th
(September 19, 2009) – Annondale-on-Hudson, NY – Junior Nicole Horvath (Fort Edward, NY) covered the 5k course in 23:06 to claim 29th place at the Bard College Women’s Cross-Country Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finished 8th overall in the 14 team field.

Men & Women's Cross Country Set for Busy 2009 Season
(August 31, 2009) - After 10 days of pre-season training, the Green Mountain College men and women’s cross country teams are the cusp of their 2009 season. The schedule features 8 meets over the course of September and October, highlighted by the NAC Championships October 31st at GMC.
