Women place 4th at NAC Championships

On Saturday, November 1st the GMC Women's XC team ran in their first NAC Championship race held at Johnson State College. It was a sunny but cold morning and all ten of these ladies were ready to run. First for GMC was Team Captain senior Lauren DiSessa in a time of 22:00 flat for 9th place. Sophomore Nicole Horvath was next in a time of 22:29 for 14th place. Following Nicole was freshman Elissa Fiore in a time of 24:18 for 25th place. Fellow freshman Lindsey Erickson (25:18), Tori Knoss (25:33), Bridget Combes (26:14) and Luca Neugebauer (26:33) were next. Sophomore Cristie Durand followed in a time of 26:47 and rounding out the ladies were junior Jordan Williams (31:44) and freshman Laura Huley (33:00).
The GMC ladies placed 4th out of 6 teams.
Congratulations to U.Maine Farmington for winning the NAC Championships for the women.
The ladies have a week off and then participate in the New England XC Regional Championships at Williams College on Saturday, November 15th.
