Twelve second-half goals and a staunch defensive effort propelled the visiting Cadets of Norwich University to a (20-7) victory over the host Green Mountain College Eagles in women's lacrosse action Wednesday afternoon.

Leading (8-5) and the interval, the Cadets reeled off 5 unanswered goals in the opening 8 minutes of the second half to blow the game open.  Green Mountain's Carley Williams (Kensington, NH) drew a goal back at the 18:51 mark, but Norwich never relented, tacking on 6 more.

The Cadets were led by Kelly Bush (Rochester, NY), Ashley Haviland (Manchester, VT) and Ally Daniels (Concord, NH) who tallied four goals each.  Kacey Abbriano (Hicksville, NY) added 2 goals and three assists in the winning effort while Kellie Pickel (Montpelier, VT) picked up the win between the pipes for Norwich stopping 2 shots.
