GMC Student-Athletes Named to NAC All-Academic Team
The North Atlantic Conference recently honored 8 Green Mountain College student-athletes for their outstanding academic success. To be named to the winter/spring NAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing, have competed a minimum two years in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.

Women's Lacrosse Ends Season on High Note
The Green Mountain College women's lacrosse team concluded their 2009 campaign Friday afternoon by beating Daniel Webster College 12-6. The Eagles finish the season with a 5-5 record.

Husson Shoots Down GMC
The visiting Eagles of Husson University out shot Green Mountain College 40-15 en route to a 10-5 NAC womens lacrosse victory Saturday afternoon. With the win, Husson (5-4, 2-2 NAC) solidifies the second seed for the upcoming NAC tournament. GMC falls to 4-5 (2-2, NAC).

The visiting Wells College Express held off a late rally by the host Eagles to claim a hard-fought 9-7 victory in womens lacrosse action Saturday. With the loss, GMC falls to 4-4 while Wells improves to 3-5.

Senior attacker Amanda Jeffers (Homer, NY) was named the NAC Player of the Week for her performances in a pair of conferences games over the weekend.

Eagles Upend Terriers; Sweep Conference Weekend
The Green Mountain womens lacrosse team scored 9 goals in each half en route to a comfortable win over NAC rivals Thomas college (18-7) Sunday. With the win, the Eagles climb to (4-3) overall and (3-1) in conference play. The Terriers fall to (0-5) on the season.
Sophomore Amanda Malkin (Barrylakes, NJ) continued her goal-scoring streak, netting 6 goals on the day. Senior Amanda Jeffers (Homer, NY) added 6 goals and an assist while freshman Erin Burch (Lebanon, CT) dished out 4 assists.
Freshman net minder Kelsy Allan (Jupiter, FL) had another outstanding day for the Eagles, making 13 stops on 23 shots.

Sophomore Amanda Malkin (Barrylakes, NJ) tallied 6 goals and an assist to help Green Mountain College defeat NAC rival U-Me. Farmington (13-5) in womens lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

Big Second-Half Propels Cadets Over Eagles
Twelve second-half goals and a staunch defensive effort propelled the visiting Cadets of Norwich University to a (20-7) victory over the host Green Mountain College Eagles in womens lacrosse action Wednesday afternoon.
Leading (8-5) and the interval, the Cadets reeled off 5 unanswered goals in the opening 8 minutes of the second half to blow the game open. Green Mountains Carley Williams (Kensington, NH) drew a goal back at the 18:51 mark, but Norwich never relented, tacking on 6 more.

Malkin Wins NAC Women's LAX POTW
Green Mountain College sophomore Amanda Malkin was named NAC Player of the Week. Malkin a sophomore attack player from Barrylakes, NJ scored 4 goals in helping the Eagles to a 13-7 victory over St. Joseph's of Connecticut. Malkin scored three goals in a decisive 6-1 run in the first to push GMC to a 10-3 lead they would never relinquish.

Posey receives NAC Rookie of the Week
Green Mountain freshmen Amanda Posey was chosen as the NAC Rookie of the Week for her 3 goal, 3 assists performance versus St. Joseph's College(CT). A freshmen from Columbus, GA, Posey helped the Eagles improve to 1-0 for the week, and 2-1 for the season.

Eagles improve to 2-1
The Green Mountain College women's lacrosse team defeated St. Joseph's College(CT) 13-7 in West Hartford, CT to improve to 2-1 on the young season. The Blue Jays struck first just 22 seconds into the contest as sophomore attack Pauling Huynh (Hamden, Conn.) took the opening draw to the cage to put the home team up early. The Eagles, however, would retaliate with four consecutive goals including two straight from first year attack Amanda Posey (Columbus, Ga.) to make it a 4-1 game with 22:05 to play in the half.

Green Mountain College Women's Lacrosse Game Postponed
Castleton, VT - The Green Mountain College womens lacrosse game
scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 versus Castleton State College has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Golden Goal in nearby Fort Ann, New York.
The game will be rescheduled at a time and date to be announced.

The Green Mountain College women's lacrosse team swept the NAC weekly honors, with freshmen Amanda Posey being chosen as the NAC Player of the Week, and Freshmen Erin Burch being honored as the Rookie of the week.

Eagles knock off Elms
CHICOPEE, MA, March 15, 2009 Green Mountain freshman attack Amanda Posey (Columbus, GA) netted a game-high four goals and the Eagles raced out to a nine-goal halftime lead en route to a 15-5 win over Elms College in Sundays non-conference womens lacrosse game at Leary Field.
Green Mountain (1-1), which opened its season with a 14-12 loss at Becker on Saturday afternoon, jumped out to a 9-0 halftime lead in Sundays season opener for the host Blazers (0-1).

Becker edges Eagles
Leicester, MA Becker College sophomore midfielder Tammy Mullen (Pottstown, PA) netted a game-high seven goals, including a pair of key late goals to help spark the Hawks to a hard-fought 14-12 win over Green Mountain College in Saturday afternoon's non-conference women's lacrosse game at Alumni Field.
Becker College picks up its first win of the season and improved to 1-1 overall. Green Mountain drops to 0-1.
Green Mountain scored the first three goals of the second half cutting the lead to 11-9, freshman forward Amanda Posey (Columbus, GA) scored twice and Celie Dagesse (St. Petersburg, FL) also tallied.
