Lady Eagles Make Inaugral Home Appearance
Poultney, VT - On a gorgeous spring day on the Green Mountain College back fields, the Lady Eagles hosted Saint Joe's of Connecticut in the very first home game for the women's lacrosse program. The crowd of 50 were not disappointed as GMC played a great game against a tough opponent.
After getting the jitters out in the first half, and a lone goal late, the Lady Eagles got on the board and played very good defense. Juniors Amanda Jeffers (Homer, NY) and Monique Couture (Santa Barbara, CA) scored twice for Green Mountain. First Year netminder Allison Hatcher made 11 saves in the effort.
Green Mountain (1-8) travels to Becker College for the final game of the season on April 22nd.
