Jen Heath is in her 7th year at GMC.  She spent 2 years as an assistant coach before becoming the head coach 5 years ago.  Before becoming a full-time staff member at Green Mountain she worked at Poultney High School as a team leader in a special education program as well as working one on one with students.

Heath is a 2001 graduate of Castleton State College where she earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Administration with a Coaching minor.  Jen was also a two-sport athlete at Castleton competing in both basketball and softball.  During her four years at Castleton, the basketball teams were very successful, winning three Mayflower Conference Championships and taking three straight trips to the NAIA National Tournament (1997, 1998, 1999).  The softball team also had success winning two Mayflower Conference Championships (1997, 2000), with Heath being named to the All-Conference team those two years.

Prior to Castleton State College, Heath excelled in the classroom as well as the playing field as a student athlete at Williamstown High School in Williamstown, Vermont.  She was a 1,000-point scorer in basketball and also lettered in soccer and softball.  In 1996, Heath was Valedictorian of her class and named Athlete of the Year.

In addition to her basketball and softball duties, Heath is the advisor of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C).

"Green Mountain offers a great atmosphere to grow both academically and athletically.  The beautiful campus is just the beginning; behind the scenes faculty and staff encourage students to grow through individual attention in the classroom as well as on the court or field.  I believe athletics at GMC is a positive and unforgettable experience that teaches the student- athletes necessary skills that they will use for the rest of their lives." - Coach Heath
