Women's NAC Semi-final to be WEBCAST Tonight

The Green Mountain College women's basketball team travels to Husson University for tonight's NAC tournament semi-final at 6 pm. The game will be broadcast LIVE via the internet starting at 6 pm. The Eagles dropped to previous contests to Husson this season.
In the first meeting of the season, the Eagles lost (80-67) at
Newman Gym in NAC action. Shelby Bradford (Jr, Lee, ME) paced
Husson with a game high 25 points and 18 rebounds, she also added 4
assists and 4 steals.
The Eagles finished the game off with a 19-7 run over the last 7:11
for the victory. They were 6-6 from the foul line in the final
minute to seal the win. Jenny Rollins (Sr, Corinth, ME) had 16
points including 4-6 from the arch. Ashley Bragdon (Jr, Newport,
ME) added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Husson built a double digit lead twice in the first half only to
see Green Mountain close the gap each time. Husson jumped out to an
early 12-3 lead in the first four minutes of play, they maintained
a comfortable margin extending it to 35-25 with 6:38 left on a pair
of Bradford foul shots. Brittany Holder (Sr, Schenectady, NY) lead
a Green Mountain 12-2 run to end the half down 41-39. Holder had 8
of her 21 points in the run, hitting two threes and a short
jumper.
Emma Buckley (Jr, Lakeville, CT) added 20 points and 16 rebounds
before fouling out with just under 3 minutes to play while Molly
Hopper (So, Gouverneur, NY) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for
Green Mountain.
During the NAC season finale for both teams at GMC the visitors used a 46-point burst in the second half to come from behind and beat the host Green Mountain College Eagles (66-57) Saturday afternoon at Waldron Gymnasium.
Green Mountain used a staunch first-half defensive effort to limit the visitors to 20 points on 7-25 shooting. Junior Emma Buckley (Lakeville, CT) recorded 4 blocks, 6 boards, and 8 points to pace the Eagles in the opening 20 minutes.
Husson clawed their way back into the game in the second-half and, with 10 minutes remaining, took the lead for good while shooting 50% from the field. Junior Shelby Bradford (Lee, ME) paced the visitors with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman Bree Hanscom (Mattawamkeag, ME) chipped in with 15 points, 2 steals and 2 assists.
Green Mountain senior Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) dropped 20 points on 7-10 shooting and pulled down 12 rebounds. Buckley finished with 15 points, and 9 rebounds before fouling out.
The winner of tonight's game will face the winner of the Me.-Farmington and Castleton State College contest tomorrow at 2 pm.
