In an extremely fast paced, back and forth game, Rivier came out the winners 78-71. The lead changed several times in the first 12 minutes of the game, until Rivier secured the lead by the half, leading 35-30. Each time GMC went on a run, Rivier answered with their own run. For a short stint in the second half Rivier led by 13 points, until GMC quickly cut it back to 6. The Eagles were within 4 with a minute and a half to play, before having to foul.

The Eagles were led by seniors Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) 16 points, 12 rebounds and Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY) 14 points, 10 assists. JR Emma Buckley (Lakeville, CT) added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both Chamberlin and Holden made the All-tournament team.

GMC will travel to Anna Maria College on Sunday for a 2 pm game.
