Green Mountain College led 33-12 at the break and went on to defeat the University of Maine at Presque Isle, 80-44, in the nightcap contest to advance to the tourney title game against Saint Joseph's College at 2 pm Saturday. In the victory for the Eagles, Emma Buckley ‘10 (Lakeville, CT) was just one block shy of a triple-double with 16 boards, 12 rebounds and nine blocks.

As a team, GMC shot 50.8% (32-63) from the field and notched 27 assists to topple the Owls, who shot just 21.9% (16-73).

For the Eagles, Natalie Clark ‘09 (West Palm Beach, FL) and Molly Hopper ‘11 (Gouvernor, NY) both netted 14 points to lead all scorers and Christina Chamberlain ‘09 (Woodstock, VT) notched a double dip with 11 caroms and 10 points.

For the Owls, Megan Korhonen ‘11 (Littleton, ME) had 13 points while Whitney Flint ‘12 (Ashland, ME) scored 12 points and Mindy Sullivan 10 (Lisbon Falls, ME) registered 13 rebounds.
