CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Cazenovia College received an eight goal performance from senior Alicia Priest as the Wildcats outscored Green Mountain College 19-5 in both teams' season opener Wednesday afternoon at Christakos Field.
In addition to Priest's breakout performance, the Wildcats got multiple goal games from Kim Vrigian with four, and Elizabeth Worden and Jessica Cramer with two each. Eagles' junior midfielder Johanna Douglas (Essex, Conn.) scored all five goals for the Eagles and led both teams in draw controls with 12 in the loss.

The Wildcats kept their composure as Priest scored five unanswered goals over a four minute stretch to give Cazenovia a 5-1 lead with just over 22 minutes left in the first stanza.
The Wildcats found the back of the net seven more times before Douglas tallied another score for Green Mountain at the 10 minute mark, making the score 12-2. Vrigian completed a first half hat trick, while Priest scored yet again to push the lead out to 14-2 at the half.
Green Mountain was able to make some adjustments at halftime and came out more focused in the second half, limiting the opposition to just five goals against their three.
Christina Marra (1-0) earned the victory in goal for the Wildcats making 10 saves, while Virginia Anderson (Silver Spring, Md.) made 17 saves in a valiant effort in net for the Eagles, taking the loss to put her record at 0-1.
