GMC Suffers First Home Loss of the Season

The Eagles lost their first home game of the season Saturday afternoon 64-49 to the visiting Becker College Hawks.  GMC struggled from the field shooting only 28.1% while turning the ball over 27 times. 

The Eagles jumped out to an early first half lead before falling behind by six, 28-22 at the interval.  In the second half, GMC struggled to find their rhythm from the field and could only close the gap to 5 points.

The Hawks, who had three players reach double digit points, were lead by Rachel Pinak who tallied 25 points on the night. 

GMC senior Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) lead the Eagles with 10 points and thirteen boards.

Green Mountain returns to action January 13th when they open Northeast Conference play against in-state rival Lyndon State College.  Tip-off at Waldron Gymnasium (Poultney, VT) is set for 6pm.
