BROOKLINE, MA - In the first half the game was back and forth as both teams took turns leading.  Newbury led 33-29 at the half.  In the second half, Newbury led for a majority of it.  GMC would go on little runs to cut into the lead-the biggest lead being 9 points, but every time Newbury would respond with a mini run of their own.  With about 5 minutes to go the Eagles took the lead for good.  GMC was able to add some full court pressure and convert on some easy fastbreaks to take the game over as well as covert free throws down the stretch.

JR Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) had a great game for the Eagles as she tossed in 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.  SO Emma Buckley (Lakeville, CT) scored 13 points, had 13 rebounds and blocked 7 shots.  JR Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY) chipped in 11 points and dished 6 assists.

GMC will travel to Mitchell College for a game on Sunday.
