Alpine Skiing: Women's 6th at Cranmore

(North Conway, NH) - Freshman Bethany Boyce (Kingston, NY) and sophomore Bridget Combes (Londonderry, NH) turned in personal-best results, helping the women's alpine ski team to a 6th place finish in USCSA Thompson Division slalom action for the second consecutive day at Cranmore Mountain. The men did not place any finishers, ending the weekend with an 11th place result.
Women
Junior Rebecca Steinhauer (Winchester, MA) once again grabbed top-billing for the Eagles finishing 12th in the two-run event with a combined time of 2:04.76. Boyce cracked the top-20 for the first time this season, notching an 18th place finish (2:23.48). Combes also recorded a personal-best, breaking into the top-50 (48th) with a time of 3:47.06.
As a team, the Eagles finished 6th for the 2nd-straight day, marking their best combined weekend finish of the season.

Neither of the men were able to finish the course Sunday, joining
the 39 other competitors who feel victim to the difficult track.
Christopher Donovan (Bedford, MA) turned in the 46th
fastest time after the first run (1:11.09), but could not finish
his 2nd run.
