The Green Mountain College women's alpine ski team finished 2 days of slalom races this weekend with a 3^rd and 4^th place team finish.  The Eagles are currently 3^rd in the Thompson Division standings behind leaders Castleton and Boston University.

On the opening day at Bromley Mt., the women turned in three top 25 finishes, led by Rebecca Steinhauer (Winchester, MA) in 19^th with a combined time of 127.61.  Following closely behind her was Diann Wetzel (Highland Falls, NY) in 20^th with a two-run time of 1:28.19.  Amanda Malkin (Highland Falls, NJ) rounded out the women with a 22^nd place finish in 1:30.77.  The third place finish was less than four total seconds behind 2^nd place Boston University and 3.51 seconds ahead of 4^th place Trinity College.

The second day of races, the women again turned in 3 top-25 finishes, good enough for fourth place overall.  Wetzel finished 18^th in 1:55.09 followed by Steinhauer in 19^th with a time of 1:56.76.  Malkin rounded out the top 3 with a 25^th placed finish in 1:59.68.  Birdget Combes (Londonderry, NH) finished 65^th with a time of 2:48.81.
