Eagles Pick-Up Pair of Road Wins

Leicester, Mass.- Becker could only muster five hits in two games, as Green Mountain swept both ends of their a softball double header.

The Hawks fell 10-1 in game one. Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) led the Eagles with 3 hits and an RBI. Gina Lorusso (Franklin, Mass.) and Katie Jablonski (West Rutland, VT) had 2 hits each. Lindsay Hanna (Portland, ME) was the lone bright spot for the Hawks, with 2 hits.

Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY) allowed just 1 run, over 6 innings pitched, to earn the win for the Eagles.

In game two, the Eagles downed the Hawks 8-0. Brittany Holden was flawless on the mound, allowing just 1 hit, over 7 innings pitched, to earn her 2nd win of the afternoon. Jessica Lewis kept Becker in the game, allowing just 3 earned runs, over 7 innings pitched. The Eagles were up 3-0, before they exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Jordan Simard (Lexington, Mass.) had the lone hit for the Hawks.

Green Mountain improved its record to 2-0. The Hawks fell to 0-4 on the season.

The Eagles return to action with a double-header Friday, March 27th at Fisher College.  First pitch is slated for 3 pm.
