GMC Student-Athletes Named to NAC All-Academic Team
The North Atlantic Conference recently honored 8 Green Mountain College student-athletes for their outstanding academic success. To be named to the winter/spring NAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing, have competed a minimum two years in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.

Jablonski Lands on NAC 2nd Team
Junior out-fielder Katie Jablonski (Rutland, VT) was named to the North Atlantic Conference 2nd team Friday afternoon. Katie batted .256 on the season as the lead-off hitter tallying 21 hits with a .351 on base percentage. She led the Eagles with 6 doubles and 8 stolen bases while drawing 10 walks in 95 plate appearances.

Terriers Sweep Green Mountain
The Thomas College Terriers were able to sweep the visiting Green Mountain College Eagles on Sunday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference Softball doubleheader, winning the first game 1-0 (8 innings), and taking the second by a 6-1 margin. The Terriers improve their record to 13-16-1 overall (10-4 NAC), while the Eagles drop to 8-20 overall (3-11 NAC).

GMC Drops a Pair on the Road
The University of Maine at Farmington softball team topped Green Mountain College 7-4, 7-0 in a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader today at Prescott Field. The Beavers (12-11, 8-4) are scheduled to host Castleton State College in a NAC twinbill on Sunday at noon. The Eagles dropped to 8-18 (3-9) are scheduled to visit Thomas College Sunday at noon.

Spartans Sweep Eagles
The visiting Castleton State Spartans nabbed a pair of North Atlantic Conference softball victories over Green Mountain College 12-1 and 8-4 Wednesday afternoon. Castleton improves to 13-11 overall and 7-5 NAC while GMC falls to 8-16, 3-7.

Eagles Settle for Split with Mariners
Green Mountain College settled for a split with Maine Maritime in NAC softball action Sunday afternoon, picking up an 8-6 win in game 2 of the doubleheader. In game one, the Mariners cruised to a 13-3 five-inning victory for their first conference win on the year. The Eagles now stand at 8-14 on the season and 3-5 in the NAC while MMA improved to 3-15, 1-7.

Pitching Leads Husson to Sweep
In a Saturday afternoon north Atlantic Conference doubleheader, the Husson University pitching staff yielded 2 hits over 10 innings to claim a 9-0 and 13-0 victory over Green Mountain College. With the sweep, Husson improves to 13-11 on the year and remain perfect at 6-0 in the conference. GMC falls to 7-13 and 2-4.

Eagles Sweep Mountaineers
The host Green Mountain College softball team picked up a pair of wins over Southern Vermont College 9-1 (5 innings) and 10-9 (9 innings) Thursday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 7-11 while the Mountaineers fall to 1-14. In game one, GMC scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth to seal the victory. Katie Jablonski (West Rutland, VT) knocked a double driving in Jessica Houck (Cortland, NY) for the decisive run. Winning pitcher Brittany Holden allowed one run on three hits, and struck out three. Offensively, Holden powered the Eagles scoring three runs and belting a trio of hits including a homerun.

Eagles Nab Conference Win
The Green Mountain College softball team picked up a conference victory in the opening game of a doubleheader at Lyndon State Tuesday afternoon, 14-5 (5 innings). The Eagles plated 10 runs in the top of the first and pitcher Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY) was a perfect 3-3 from the plate to help GMC cruise to the win.

Eagles Split Against UMPI
On a rain soaked afternoon, the Eagles softball team split a pair of home non-conference games against the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Green Mountain’s Brittany Holden scored 2 runs and went 5-8 at the plate overall to lead the Eagle’s. Karen Davidson also scored a run and batted .500 (4-8) on the afternoon.

Crose fires perfect game in softball sweep of Green Mountain
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Freshman pitcher Sam Crose (Assonet, Mass.) threw a perfect game in six innings of work with 15 strikeouts to lead the Skidmore College softball team to a 8-0 win in game one of a doubleheader Sunday afternoon. Skidmore also took the nightcap, 11-1.

Eagles Ousted by Trailblazers
The visiting MCLA Trailblazers tallied 26 runs Thursday afternoon, claiming victory in both games of the non-conference double-header (10-1) and (16-6). Reigning NAC player of the week Katie Jablonski (West Rutland, VT) went 3 for 6 on the day including a double in the second game. Senior Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY) pitched both games for Green Mountain before being relieved in the 5th inning of game 2, and went 2 for 4 from the plate.

Jablonski Named NAC Softball Player Of The Week
Junior CF Katie Jablonski was named the North Atlantic Conference softball Player Of The Week today. Jablonski went 5-11 from the plate with two runs scored, 2 RBI and a double in four games this week against Bay Path College and Fisher College.

Bay Path Sweeps GMC Softball
LONGMEADOW, Mass.—The Wildcats of Bay Path College swept a non-conference double-header against Green Mountain College Saturday afternoon winning 5-0 and 15-3. In game one, a strong pitching performance by Jessica Nizinski, (West Springfield, MA) led the way for the Wildcats as she tallied 4 strikeouts and limited Green Mountain to only 3 hits. She also contributed to her own cause by hitting 2 doubles and driving in a run.

Eagles Unable to Pick-Up Road Victory
The Green Mountain College softball team dropped both games of a friday afternoon double-header at Fisher College. The Falcons tallied 24 total runs on the afternoon en route to claiming an 11-3 victory in the opener and 13-4 win in the second game. Story to follow.

Holden Earns NAC Pitcher of the Week Honors
Green Mountain's Brittany Holden (Schenectady, NY)won her first two outings of the year allowing just four hits and one earned run in two wins against Becker while posting 9 strike outs earning NAC Softball Pitcher of the Week honors.

Eagles Pick-Up Pair of Road Wins
Leicester, Mass.- Becker could only muster five hits in two games, as Green Mountain swept both ends of their a softball double header. The Hawks fell 10-1 in game one. Christina Chamberlin (Woodstock, VT) led the Eagles with 3 hits and an RBI. Gina Lorusso (Franklin, Mass.) and Katie Jablonski (West Rutland, VT) had 2 hits each. Lindsay Hanna (Portland, ME) was the lone bright spot for the Hawks, with 2 hits.
