Men's Cross Country Claims Seventh at Castleton Invitational
CASTELTON, Vt. – The Green Mountain College men's cross country team completed the 8K race at the Castleton Invitational on Saturday morning with a seventh place finish. 

The course was a gently rolling course with some wet areas providing a fairly quick pace for the runners.

Senior Jacob Nelson (West Barnstable, Mass.) paced all Eagle runners with his personal best time of 31:31, nearly four and a half minutes better than his best race in 2016, which placed him in 24th place overall. 

Freshman Mason McKnight (Grove City, Pa.) followed up that performance with a 25th place showing in a time of 31:43 as he nipped out a competitor right at the finish line with a tremendous kick. 

Freshman Cade Terada (Dutch Harbor, Alaska) grabbed a 49th place finish with a time of 36:59. 

Sophomore JaBarr Graves (Philadelphia, Pa.) raced in his first meet of the season and recorded a 54th place finish in a time of 39:25, while sophomore Matt D'Arcy (Melbourne, Australia) finished in 58th spot in a time of 40:35. 

The Eagles will stay in Vermont for their next race which comes Saturday, September 16 as the team will compete in the Badger Invitational with race time starting at 11:15 am.
