MCLA Shuts out Green Mountain in Men's Tennis

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Men's Tennis program won their second consecutive match, shutting out visiting Green Mountain College 9-0 this afternoon at Zavattaro Athletics Complex.  The Trailblazers are now 3-4 on the season while Green Mountain drops to 1-10.

MCLA got off to a flying start in the doubles matches earning pro set victories in all three matches. Daniel Nesti and Joseph Whitehouse, Taylor Krowitz and Richard LaRocque, and Anthony Galili and Mitch Mabardy all won easy giving the hosts a quick 3-0 edge heading into singles. 

Nesti quickly disposed of Green Mountain's Chris Donovan 6-2, 6-2 in the top singles slot, while Krowitz earned his point 6-1, 6-0 in the second slot.  Also earning singles victories for MCLA were Whitehouse, Galili, Mabardy, and Brandon Peltier.  All were in straight sets.

Nicole Cardish (GMC) 6-3, 6-3, Mitchell Mabardy (MCLA) def. Heeje Cho (GMC) 6-3, 6-0 Brandon Peltier (MCLA) def. Duong Vo (GMC) 6-1, 6-2.

Nesti/Whitehouse (MCLA) def. Donovan/Thiongo (GMC) 8-1 Krowitz/Larocque (MCLA) def. McRee/Cardish (GMC) 8-3 Galili/Mabardy (MCLA) def. Cho/Vo (GMC) 8-3.
