Eagles Face Johnson Sate in NAC Tourney

The Green Mountain College Men's tennis team begins their bid for a North Atlantic Conference title when they face Johnson State College tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm. The match, hosted by Castleton State College, will be played at White's Park (32 E Center St., Rutland, VT).
The Eagle's, 1-8 on the season (1-7 NAC), are the #4 seed while the Badgers nabbed the 5th seed. The two teams have already met twice this season, each claiming victory in their respective home contests 6-3.
JSC have lost 3 consecutive matches falling to GMC, Thomas (7-2), and Castleton (9-0) while GMC are looking for their second win on the season and first in 2 outings after dropping a pair of 6-3 decisions to Thomas and Lyndon.
GMC senior Christin Louras (Rutland, VT) boasts the top record for the squad in both doubles and singles matches. She carries a 5-2 singles record and is 3-2 in doubles including a 3-0 mark when paired with teammate Mark Lundeen (Lakeville, CT).
Lundeen has also performed well on the season winning 4 of 6 singles matches and is 4-3 in doubles.
The winner of tomorrows match will face #1 seed Castleton State in the semi-final round on Saturday morning at 9:30 am (at Castleton State).
