GMC Drops NAC Road Contest
(October 3, 2009) - Farmington, ME -The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team set down Green Mountain College 3-0 in North Atlantic Conference action today at Prescott Field.
The Beavers (4-4 overall, 1-1 in the NAC) are slated to host Castleton State College Sunday at 2:15 p.m. The Eagles (0-7-1, 0-2) are tabbed to take on Thomas College in Waterville Sunday.
Nile Rozie (Windsor, CT), Nickolas Grim (Ipswich, MA) and Zachary Good (Westbrook, ME) each netted a goal for the Beavers. Farmington turned in 27 shots to Green Mountain's four.
Rozie opened the scoring with a left-footed blast at 14:52 as the Beavers took a 1-0 lead into intermission. Grim teed up a pass by Dillon Clark (Old Town, ME) and drilled a shot into the far corner from 35 yards out for a 2-0 lead. Good cashed in a direct kick for an insurance marker at 87:27 to complete the 3-0 win.
Erik Corcoran (Gorham, NH) worked the first 71:10 in goal for Farmington with a save. Paul Dupre (Rehoboth, MA) completed the netminding duties with a save.
Nate Kishbaugh (Niskayuna, NY) hauled in eight saves for the Eagles.
