(October 4th, 2009) - Waterville, ME - The host Thomas College Terriers used a 4 goal second half to drop the visiting Eagles 5-0 in men's soccer action Sunday afternoon. The Eagles fall to 0-8-1 (0-3, NAC) with the loss while the Terriers improve to 3-6-1 (1-1-1, NAC).
The Terriers opened their scoring account in the 39th minute through Andy Mack who weaved his way through several Eagle defenders before beating freshman Nate Kishbaugh (Niskayuna, NY) to the right side with a clinical finish.
In 54th minute, Thomas netted the first of a 3 goal outburst in a mere 5 minutes when Kevin White worked his way down the right flank, beating several Eagle defenders and finding Andrew Pelletier who struck home . One minute later, Mack managed to outwit the entire GMC defensive crops and struck home from 16 yards. Four Minutes later, Pelletier turned inside the box, beat an Eagle defender and beat Kishbaugh for his 2nd of the match.
The Terriers put the final nail in the coffin in the 68th minute when another foray down the right flank produced a service to Antonio Juco who, inauspiciously unmarked, easily finished.
The Eagles return to action next weekend, October 10th and 11th when they host Husson University and Maine Maritime in a pair of conference matches. Saturday's game is set for 3 pm and kick-off on Sunday is 2:00 pm.
