Eagles Place Second at Spring's First Home Tournament

POULTNEY, Vt.– Johnson State College posted a team score of 336 to take the 2017 Green Mountain College Spring Invitational on Saturday. The host Eagles finished second with a score of 360, while Norwich University men's golfer Kyle Lamorey emerged as the tournament's medalist after shooting a 78 and winning after a one-hole playoff.

Johnson's Philip Lyon also posted a 78 after 18 holes of golf to tie for the lead. Norwich's Mike Moschella finished just a stroke back of the leaders at 79. Johnson's Austin Walters and Kiley Moody rounded out the top five finishers with scores of 80 and 84, respectively.

Green Mountain was led by Tyler Provencher who posted the team's lowest score of 87 and was followed by Xavier Johnson's 90 and Dakota Dodson's 92.

Green Mountain will close out the spring season when it hosts the Green Mountain College Spring Fling on Tuesday, May 2.
