(September 23, 2009) - South Burlington, VT - Senior Jeff Davis (East Aurora, NY) led the Eagles in men's golf action at the Vermont Collegiate Championship Wednesday afternoon carding a 98 on the tough par-72 Vermont National Country Club course in South Burlington, VT.  The Eagles finished 5^th in the 5 team field with a team score of 414.

St. Michael's College captured the team crown with a 321, edging Castleton by 8 strokes (329).  The Purple Knights' Mark Mitchell captured medalist honors with a 2-under par 70 and was the only golfer in the field to eclipse par. 

GMC Junior Matt Tarricone (Oneonta, NY) fired a 103, besting his previous best score by one stroke.  Senior Kyle Costanzo (Wanamassa, NJ) finished with a 105, closely followed by senior Will Welch (Concord, NH) with a 108.  Senior Ken Enman (Fort Fairfield, ME) completed his round with a 113.
