Davis Fires a 90, Eagles 3rd

(September 26, 2009) - Jay, VT -  Senior Jeff Davis (East Aurora, NY) fired a team-low 90 at the Jay Peak C.C. (Jay, VT) to lead the Eagles to a 3rd place finish at the Johnson St. Invitational Saturday afternoon.  Davis bested his 18-hole score by 8 strokes and out-dueled Vermont Technical College's Kyle Mohan (97) in the top-flight. 

Johnson St. captured the team title with a score of 379 followed by VTC (387) and GMC (398).  JSC's Tyler parker carded a 5-over 77 to win the individual crown. 

Senior Kyle Costanzo (Wanamassa, NJ) fired a 96 while junior Matt Tarricone (Oneonta, NY) finished with a 104.  Senior William Welch (Concord, NH) rounded out the scoring for GMC with a 108.  The team score of 398 marked the second time this season the Eagles have dropped below 400 on a par-72 course.

The Eagles return to action tomorrow at the Country Club of Vermont (Waterbury Center, VT).
