UMF and LSC Repeat at NAC XC Championship

(October 31st, 2009) – Poultney, VT – The Lyndon State College men and University of Maine Farmington women’s cross country teams captured their respective team crowns to repeat as 2009 North Atlantic Conference Champions. The Hornets grabbed 4 of the top 7 spots to edge Maine Maritime while the Beavers placed 6 runners in the top 12 to easily capture the title Saturday on the campus of Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT.

GMC Hosts NAC Cross Country Championship

(October 29, 2009) – Poultney, VT – Green Mountain College will host the North Atlantic Conference Championship cross country meet Saturday, October 31st. The men’s 8k race is set to begin at 11:00 am followed by the women’s 5k at 12:00 pm.

Donovan Paces Men at RPI Invitational

(October 24, 2009) – Saratoga, NY – Freshman Christopher Donovan (Bedford, MA) once again paced the men, claiming 117th at the RPI Invitational in Saratoga, NY Saturday afternoon. Donovan completed the 8k course in 31:22.38, 6:51 behind individual champion Mike Heyman (Plattsburgh St.).

HVCC Capture Team, Individual Title

(October 17, 2009) – Poultney, VT – The Hudson Valley CC men’s cross-country team swept the honors Saturday morning capturing the individual and team crown at the Green Mountain College Invitational. Kyle Gutbrodt covered the 8k course in 27:33.6, nearly one minute ahead of the next runner, leading the Vikings to victory with 27 points.

(October 16, 2009) – Poultney, VT – The Green Mountain College men and women’s cross country teams are set to host the 2nd Annual GMC Invitational Meet on Saturday, October 17th after 5 weeks on the road.

Donovan 51st at Vermont Championship
(October 3, 2009) – Johnson, VT – Sophomore Chris Donovan continued his string of top-finishes for GMC in 51st at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championship Saturday afternoon. The race, hosted by Johnson State, featured 10 Vermont Colleges across all 3 divisions and included the College of St. Joseph (NAIA).

Donovan Continues String of Top Finishes for GMC
(September 26, 2009) - Farmington, ME – Freshman Christopher Donovan (Bedford, MA) continues his streak of first place finishes for Green Mountain College and narrowly missed cracking the top ten at the University of Maine at Farmington Saturday afternoon. Donovan completed the 8k course in 32:29, good enough for 11th place out of 33 runners while breaking his personal best at the distance by nearly 2 minutes.

Senior Emma Brinley Buckley (Lakeville, CT) is a three sport student-athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse for the Eagles. A Self-Design major, she carried a 3.3 GPA this spring. (click on headline for more)
