(September 5, 2009) - Johnson, VT - The GMC men's cross country team struggled to a 4^th place finish at the Johnson St. Invitational Saturday afternoon.  Castleton claimed 1^st with 18 points followed by Vermont Tech (45), Johnson St. (72), and GMC (97). 

The top finisher for the Eagles was freshman Christopher Donovan (Bedford, MA) in 15^th with a time of 20:18.  Donovan was closely followed by junior Scott Preavy (Morrisville, VT) in 18^th and sophomore Jonathan O'Neill (Bethel, CT) claiming 20^th. 

The final 3 GMC runners finished in a tightly grouped pack led by freshman Andrew O'Neill (Philmont, NY) in 22^nd, freshman Michael Kearns (Rockport, MA), and sophomore co-captain Aaron Ashton (West Valley City, UT). 

The Eagles will look to improve on their result next Saturday, September 12^th at 11:45 am when they travel to SUNY Cobleskill.
