The Men's Cross Country team participated in the Mountaineers Cross County Invitational at Southern Vermont College this past Saturday.  The skies were cloudy with rain threatening - but the races took place with not one drop.  On a tough and hilly course the men were led by Team Captain sophomore Jake Lewis in a time of 34:01 for 29th place.  Freshman Aaron Ashton and Jonathan O'Neill were next for GMC in times of 37:34 and 38:02 respectively, for 40th and 41st place.  Sophomore Justin Happel was next in a time of 42:08 for 52nd place and senior Colin Heaton came in 53rd place in a time of 43:29.  

The Men took 6th place out of 7 teams.  

Thank you to all the parents who came out to SVC to watch and cheer for their runners!   Congratulations to SUNY Cobleskill for winning the Men's Meet.  

The men travel to Castleton State College for the Vermont State Championships next Saturday!
