Lydon State Topples Eagles

Lyndon's John Kennedy and Brad Darby won the  No. 1 doubles match over Brett Dugan and Tibursious Ssenduwula 8-2 and the tandem of  Paul Thibault and Jeremiah Powell gave the Hornets a 2-0 lead with a 8-1 victory over Kevin Hart and Kyle O'Boyle.

In No. 3 doubles, the Eagles earned their first win of the day as Mark Lundeen and Kyle Watt topped Chris Hammett (Brunswick, Maine) and Jimmy Gaskell (Washington, N.H.) 8-4.

In singles action, Kennedy beat Dugan in the No. 1 position 6-1, 6-3 and Darby blanked O'Boyle 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. After Lyndon forfeited the No. 3 singles match, Thibault sealed the victory with 6-3, 6-1 win over Hart. 

Lundeen topped Powell 6-3, 6-2 in No. 5 singles and Hammett beat Watt in the No. 6 singles match 7-6, 6-0.

The Eagles enter the NAC tournament hosted by  Castleton State College this weekend as the #5 seed and will face in-state rival Johnson State Friday at 1 pm.
