Brad Mitchell

Brad Mitchell takes over the helm for the Green Mountain College men's soccer team after a year long stint as assistant coach. During this time, Brad worked closely with players on individual development while also implementing a nutritional and strength and conditioning program. Coach Mitchell also ran the Green Mountain College Winter Soccer Academy for ages 3-16 and was able to raise donations for a local food shelf while drawing players from a wide area.
Brad joined the GMC coaching staff after several years of successful work with both youth and college clubs. He was the first assistant for the Middlebury College men's program in 2001-2002 helping the Panthers to a semi-final berth in the highly competitive NESCAC. After his stint at Middlebury, Brad coached for the Highland Soccer Club in Abingdon, VA where he managed the boys U-15 and U-16 squads. He has also spent time with the Nordic Soccer club in Burlington Vermont.
Coach Brad Mitchell started all 22 games for the 1998 NCAA DIII
quarterfinalist St. Lawrence Saints helping to lead them to their
first ever undefeated, untied regular season after receiving
All-New England honors at Essex High School, VT. He spent 3
years with the Vermont Voltage of the PDL, and one year with the
Vermont Avalanche indoor side, before moving on to NAIA DI top 25
Virginia Intermont College where he appeared in the national
tournament. He rounded out his playing career scoring 16
goals for Green Mountain before joining the coaching staff.
