GMC Drops Season Finale 3-0

(October 24, 2009) - Lyndon Center, VT - Patrice Lumumba had two goals and an assist to lead Lyndon State College to its first North Atlantic Conference victory of the year - a 3-0 win over Green Mountain College Saturday afternoon.
P.J. Danforth gave the Hornets a 1-0 lead at the 5:35 mark of the first half when he scored off assists from Lamumba and Darren Roberge. Less than 10 minutes later, Lamumba tallied his seventh goal of the year on a through ball from Bradley Patten to extend the LSC lead to 2-0.
After a 15-minute weather delay and halftime, Lumumba closed out the scoring in the contest with a goal at 67:42. Uriah Burhans was credited with an assist on the play.
Hornet goalkeeper Ian Oliver, playing his final game in a LSC uniform, did not make a save in the contest and was credited with a shutout. Eagle's goalie Nate Kishbaugh (Niskayuna, NY) had six saves in the game as Lyndon outshot Green Mountain 21-0.
Green Mountain ends its year with records of 0-13-1 and 0-7.
