Lyndon State College defeated Green Mountain College today by a final score of 3-1. The Hornets struck 18:08 into the contest when Chris Cowan took a ball from Matt Scagnelli and placed it into the right side of the net.

Lyndon scored again when Darren Roberge's header found the back of the net 2 minutes into the second half. The Eagles continued to battle, and Nelson Ongiti pulled the Eagles within one finishing a ball from Josh Hanrahan. The Hornets rounded out the scoring when Tyler Bullard scored on a ball from Kyle Hessler.

The Eagles finish the season 2-17, while the Hornets improve to 9-7 on the year.

Lyndon will await seedings to see who they will play on Tuesday in the North Atlantic conference play-offs.
