Weinberg Receives Regionals Honors - 22nd Combined

Waterville, NH - The Giant Slalom showed a steady young man at work. Michael Weinberg (Stamford, NY) takes his skiing seriously and his consistent results show how his mind calculates his ability with regards to each course. The field of racers was very talented and Michael is also very talented but it takes a level of intelligence to wend one's way through this forrest.
"Michael has shown great consistency this year and this, among many other reasons, is why he is a perfect regional competitor. He makes small adjustments and mentally prepares himself for the challenge each course brings. He is a competitive person but also smartly takes in the challenges. The fact that he is here shows his dedication to the off-season as his workout regiment is very high and also his dedication to the sport. Michael played soccer his first two years at Green Mountain and decided to forego this to concentrate solely on skiing. It has paid huge dividends," stated Coach Dale Solotruck.
"It was my personal goal to get here (Regionals) this year. I just wish the whole team was here because we were much better this year than we were last year. We just have to get back to the drawing board and make this race a reality for the 08-09," commented Michael Weinberg.
