Eagle's Finish Season, Collect NAC Honor
(October 17, 2009) – Poultney, VT – Daniel Webster College sophomore Mike Fuller (Chelmsford, MA) fired an 85 to capture medalist honors and lead his squad to a 26-stroke (357-383) victory over Green Mountain College at the GMC Invitational Saturday. Senior Jeff Davis (East Aurora, NY) was the top-finisher for GMC with an 87 on the par-72 (6414 yd) Lake St. Catherine Country Club in Poultney, VT.

Eagles 2nd at Franklin Pierce
(October 14, 2009)- Jaffery, NH - Sophomore Robert Greggerson (Seekonk, MA) shot a 76 on Wednesday afternoon to earn medalist honors and lead the Franklin Pierce University golf team to a team score of 327 and a first-place finish at the Franklin Pierce Invitational, at the Shattuck Golf Club.

Men’s Golf 7th at NAC Championships
(October 11-12, 2009) – Orono, ME – The Green Mountain College men’s golf team finished 7th out of 7 teams at the North Atlantic Conference Championships. Husson University captured the team crown by 40 strokes (604) at the two-round event hosted by the Penobscot Valley Country Club. Husson’s Kyle Byrne captured medalist honors firing a two-day 148 (70-72) on the par-72 6442 yard course, finishing 6 strokes clear of teammate Mike Hersey (148).

Golf Captures 2nd at GMC Invitational
(October 3, 2009) – Poultney, VT – Kyle Costanzo (Wanamassa, NJ) fired a 92 to lead the Eagles to a 2nd place finish with a score of 403 at the GMC Invitational Saturday at the Lake St. Catherine Country Club. SUNY Cobleskill captured to team title (345) along with the top-5 finishers. Rich Mann nabbed medalist honors with a 10-over 82.

Costanzo Finishes 4th
(September 27, 2009) – Waterbury Center, VT – Kyle Costanzo (Wanamassa, NJ) fired a personal-best 86 Saturday afternoon at the par-72 Country Club of Vermont, finishing 4th overall. Costanzo’s score also marked the low round of the year for GMC. The Eagles finished 4th as a team with a 398 for the second consecutive day.

Davis Fires a 90, Eagles 3rd
(September 26, 2009) – Jay, VT - Senior Jeff Davis (East Aurora, NY) fired a team-low 90 at the Jay Peak C.C. (Jay, VT) to lead the Eagles to a 3rd place finish at the Johnson St. Invitational Saturday afternoon. Davis bested his 18-hole score by 8 strokes and out-dueled Vermont Technical College’s Kyle Mohan (97) in the top-flight.

GMC 5th at Vermont Collegiate Championship
(September 23, 2009) – South Burlington, VT – Senior Jeff Davis (East Aurora, NY) led the Eagles in men’s golf action at the Vermont Collegiate Championship Wednesday afternoon carding a 98 on the tough par-72 Vermont National Country Club course in South Burlington, VT. The Eagles finished 5th in the 5 team field with a team score of 414.

Enman, Eagles 6th
(September 19, 2009) – Concord, NH – Senior Ken Enman (Fort Fairlfield, ME) led the Green Mountain College golf team to a 6th place finish at the New Hampshire Technology Institute invitational Saturday afternoon. Enman carded a 100 as the top GMC finisher on the par 72 Beaver Meadows G.C. in Concord, NH.

Welch Leads GMC to 4th
(September 12, 2009) – Williston, VT – William Welch (Concord, NH) carded a 101 Saturday at Catamount C.C. to lead the Eagles to a 4th place finish at the Johnson St. Invitational. St. Michael’s College were the run-away winners with a team score of 319 followed by Johnson St. (354) and Vermont Technical College (412). GMC finished with a total score of 425.

Eagles Finish 4th at Johnson St. Invitational
(September 5, 2009) – Williston, VT – The Green Mountain College golf team took to the links Saturday afternoon in their first competition of the 2009 season, finishing 4th among 4 teams at the Johnson St. Invitational held at Catamount Country Club.
