Wells College Downs Eagles

The visiting Wells College Express halted the Green Mountain College 7 game win streak in emphatic fashion Thursday night, 85-60 improving to 6-7 on the season.

The Express used 56% shooting from the field and a dominating performance on the boards to claim victory.  Wells led start to finish on the heels of junior Juan Paulino's (Bronx, NY) 21 points on 10-12 shooting and 11 rebounds.  Fellow junior Darrell Bullock added 12 points and six assists.

The Eagles were never able to find their rhythm offensively and turned the ball over 17 times leading to 19 points the other way.  The Eagles were led by senior Fabian Ferreira (Queens, NY) who tallied 17 point.  Senior Herley Pellew added 14 on 5 for 11 shooting.

GMC falls to 7-2 and returns to action Tuesday, January 13th when they host in state and NAC conference rival Lyndon State.  Tip-off is set for 8 pm.
