Eagle's Trounce Bobcat's

In their home opener, the Green Mountain College Eagles used 62.7% shooting from the field and balanced scoring to roll over the visiting Bobcat's from Paul Smith's College.
GMC, led by sophomore Gerard Johnson (Binghamton, NY) who scored a team high 18 points while going a perfect 8 for 8 from the field, jumped out to an early double digit lead 5 minutes into the contest and never looked back. Three other Eagles scored in double figures with senior Fabian Ferreira (Queens, NY) adding 11, senior Rich Bailey (Bronx NY) chipping in 12, and freshman Travis Debreaux (Baltimore, MD) dropping 12 while collecting a team leading 8 rebounds.
The Eagles were lead by outstanding team defense holding the Bobcats to 33% shooting from the field for the game. Debreaux had 5 of the teams 18 steals while swatting 3 shots.
Paul Smith's were led by freshman Evan Crisafulli (Albany, NY) who scored 13 on 5 for 9 shooting.
Green Mountain College returns to action Friday, December 5th against Framingham State in the Eastern Nazarene tournament.
