(Waterville, Me) - Green Mountain College Eagles handed Thomas College only their third loss of the year 80-73 as Rui Carmo (Cape Coral, FL) scored a game-high  27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  The loss was only the 3^rd of the year for the Terriers who fall to 12-3 (4-3, NAC) while the Eagles improve to 5-10 (2-4, NAC).

The first half was one filled with turnovers by both teams as the score at the intermission was 44-35 Green Mountain.  The first half saw high scores from Carmo who had 18 for the eagles and Francisco Alicea (Foxboro, MA) who had 11 off the bench.

The second half was led by Junior guard Trent Morgan (Streetsboro, OH) as he scored 14 in the second half to bring his overall points total to 25.  Morgan went 6-10 from the three point line as he helped carry the Eagles to victory.  Carmo also added 9 for the half to finish off with 27.  Jarrad DeVaughn (Brockton, MA) finished the game with a double double with 16 points and 13 assists.  Andrew Duncanson (Portland, ME) was the high scorer for the Terriers as he finished with 17.

The Eagles return to action tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 pm when they square-off against the University of Maine Farmington.
