Green Mountain Slides Passed Badgers
Poultney, VT -Green Mountain college used a balanced effort to get past in-state rival Johnson St, 86-60 on Sunday afternoon in the Eagle Dome. Leading at the half 31-22, Green Mountain took control of the game in the second half, pulling away by outscoring the Badgers by a score of 55-38 in the second stanza. Green Mountain was led by Doug Hammond's 21 points, 15 rebounds and 9 blocked shots, Adam Fisher's 17 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds, and Fabian Ferreira's 20 points and 6 rebounds. Nolfris Williams added 10 points, all in the second half to go along with 11 rebounds and 3 assists, and Scott McGuinness and Alphonso Howlett each added 9 points. Green Mountain improved to 3-1 and Johnson St. fell to 1-2, GMC travels to Eastern Nazarene for a tournament on Friday November 30th, and Saturday December 1st. The Eagles will return home for their tournament on December 8th and 9th.
