Nashua, NH - Doug Hammond knocked down game highs of 24 points and 14 rebounds and Adam Fisher added 23 points, 10 boards and dished out 10 assists guiding Green Mountain past host Daniel Webster in the opening round of the Best Western Tip off at Vagge Gymnasium Friday night.

Green Mountain (1-0) persevered despite committing 30 turnovers, advancing to tomorrow's 3:00 p.m. championship to face MCLA, 89-59 winners over Centenary (NJ) in the evening's earlier semifinal.

Green Mountain led 47-36 at the break.

DWC trailed by as many as 16 in the second half, before rallying to knock the lead down to five at 79-74 with 6:08.
But Green Mountain's Nolfris Williams answered with a trey, part of his 18 points on the night to regain an eight point lead and DWC pulled no closer than eight the rest of the way.

Fabian Ferreira added 16 to Green Mountain's cause, going 8 of 11 from the line.
