Green Mountain Basketball hosted their season opening kick-off celebration tonight in Waldron Gymnasium's Eagle Dome. The event combined with the women's team served as an introduction to the 2007-2008 season, and hosted a 3 point shooting contest, dunk contest, and fan participation shooting contests.

Junior Scott McGuinness won the men's three point contest, and then edged out women's winner sophomore Katie Jablonksi when the two team champions faced off. Doug Hammond took home the dunk contest title, after some electrifying dunks by the participants.

Green Mountain's men will open their season on Friday November 16 at 8pm vs Daniel Webster College in the Best Western Tip-off Tournament hosted by Daniel Webster.
