Eagles return to winning ways

Randolph, VT - Green Mountain pulled out a hard fought victory tonight, 73-65 over Vermont Tech. A sluggish start to the first half and some cold shooting had the Eagles trailing 39-29 at the halftime intermission. Green Mountain ratcheted up their defensive pressure in the second half. GMC pulled even at 51-51 with 10:30 remaining in the half, and outscored VTC 22-14 over the remainder of the half. Adam Fisher led the way for Green Mountain with 29 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, scoring 20 points in the second half, and posting his fifth triple-double of the season. Fisher also surpassed the 1,000 point mark for his career on a driving layup in the second half. Doug Hammond led all scorers with 30 points, tallying 11 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. GMC improved to 13-4 with the victory and will take on Albany College of Pharmacy Saturday 2/2/08 at 4pm.
