History of Achievement
Part of Green Mountain College's 173-year history is our legacy of
strong teams and outstanding players. In recent years, as we've
transitioned into the NCAA Division III Association of Independents
Conference, we've carried on that tradition with a pack of regional
post-season appearances.
Real Athletes, with their Heads in the Game
Excellence only comes with hard work and fierce dedication. We
teach our athletes that they should epitomize excellence in all
aspects of life--on the field, in the classroom, and among their
teammates and peers.
The Environment you're in
Green Mountain College is an active community supporting a wide
range of athletic teams. We have a newly renovated weight and
training room with state-of-the-art workout machines; an on-campus
indoor swimming pool, basketball court, outdoor tennis courts,
track, rugby and soccer fields.
Committed to Service & Leadership
The Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) is an important
organization of student athletes who organize social events for
charity, such as the annual faculty/staff basketball and volleyball
games and the annual winter formal. In February 2006, proceeds from
the formal went to a local family whose home had been destroyed by
a fire.
