The Eagle Dome, constructed in 1961 and housed in the WAC, is the home of the GMC men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball programs.  The newly resurfaced floor and recently renovated locker rooms provide a quality practice and game facility.  The regularly packed dome seats 500 on the south side of the court creating an electrifying atmosphere for home contests. 

Concessions are available in the WAC lobby for all home contests and the Eagle mascot provides entertainment for adults and children alike. 

Policies and Procedures

The athletic department sponsors Open Gym during the academic year which is open ONLY to GMC students, faculty and staff.  All other activities requiring ex clusive use of the   gymnasium must be scheduled through the Auxiliary Services Office, which can be  reached    at 802-287-8260.  

• Non-marking and clean footwear is required to use the gymnasium.
• Inappropriate behavior in the gymnasium may result in the loss of the privilege.  (This includes damage to or reckless behavior in the gymnasium, use of foul language, or disrespectful behavior to others.)
• Gymnasium patrons should be prepared to provide their own recreational equipment. Any equipment placed in the gymnasium for recreational users by Green Mountain College is the property of Green Mountain and should be left in the condition it was found as well as in the appropriate location in the gymnasium.
